Ever been angry? So
has Tommy. In fact, he had a good reason
for being angry, coming from an abusive background, he had very little to be
happy about. That was until he was
matched up with his big brother Brian. “My Big Brother means a lot to me, because
he’s real nice and not mean; and he knows how to have fun with me.” Having a big brother has made a difference
in Tommy’s life, it has changed his perspective. Every time you donate money or time to Big
Brothers Big Sisters, you change a child’s perspective; you help a child reach
their potential. You start something….special.
Our Elimination Dinner held on October 9, 2010 is an
excellent way to start something special. At the dinner, each couple receives a
ticket and numbers will be drawn in a “Bingo” style fashion. Numbers drawn are
“eliminated” from the grand prize drawing at that time until there are only
five numbers left. The final five are
guaranteed at least $250 in cash, up to the winner receiving $2,000!
We are looking for people who want to make a difference to
come out and have a great time; tickets are $100 per couple for a full buffet dinner, beer and wine bar and a
chance to win! Another option is to
donate prizes or become a cash supporter for this event.
Winston Churchill once stated, “We make a living by what we
do, but we make a life by what we give.” By donating your support or time, you
will be helping change the way children just like Tommy grow up in our
